Chart notes
SHUKRAN stumbled at the start, circled the field three-wide on the turn, engaged COSMIC COLLISSION at the top of the stretch, then dueled outside of that rival down the stretch, was unable to get past but got a favorable head bob on the wire to take down the top prize. COSMIC COLLISSION settled three-wide early, moved up to bid for the lead late on the turn, was already under left-handed urging before the stretch, but battled gamely on the inside while dueling with SHUKRAN through the lane, had the advantage late but came out on the short end of the photo. GONZALO was unable to engage in the early pace despite the efforts of the rider, dropped back to last place on the turn, but was kept to task and finished with some interest though well behind the top pair. MOMBO JUMBO chased the early leader under a drive to the turn, became boxed in approaching the quarter pole, swung to the outside for the stretch run, and ran on some while lugging in through the lane. STRIKE BREAKER broke best and was hustled to the front, led the field into the turn, then was overtaken near the quarter pole and outrun through the stretch.
