Chart notes
MALI BALI broke well but was outpaced in the initial stages, tracked mid-pack, then moved up late on the turn to bid for the lead in upper stretch, took command inside the furlong marker and drew off late. COUNTRYCLUB COUPLE tracked between horses down the backstretch, then sent along to press the leaders leaving the three-furlong pole, was stuck behind horses approaching the stretch, tipped out to the three-path in upper stretch, and finished up well to gain the place. AMERICAN OF COURSE broke well, dueled inside of a rival to the stretch, dug in under challenge, but was outfinished in the late stages. ROWDY DAISY outpaced to the turn, launched a bid four-wide on the turn, and improved while never a serious threat. INNER HARBOR was away awkwardly, then made some contact with REMEMBER ME, chased two-wide, then lacked a late bid. REMEMBER ME took a light bump from INNER HARBOR at the start but was able to contest the early pace to the outside of AMERICAN OF COURSE, came under pressure at the top of the stretch racing between horses, and weakened. LIVING IN STYLE showed brief speed on the inside, then faded on the turn.
