Chart notes
ELECTRIC MELODY broke out and brushed with LESOTHO at the start but otherwise got away well and established a good position early, just behind the pace, moved up to challenge CARMEL ROSE for the lead on the far turn, then dueled with that rival in a spirited battle through the whole of the stretch and got a favorable head bob at the line to prevail. CARMEL ROSE went four-wide on the first turn, then took the lead turning onto the backstretch, went clear into the far turn, tried to quicken away but had ELECTRIC MELODY in hot pursuit, drifted a little wide turning for home, battled gamely to the wire but came up on the short end of the photo. ILLUMINATE was first into the clubhouse turn but ceded the front end heading onto the backstretch, tracked close up to the far turn, could not kick on with the top two from the middle of the far turn, but kept to task and outfinished the rest in a tight finish for third to claim the minor award. S'MOR CRAFTY raced in the middle of the pack along the rail, moved up to an early challenge after passing the half, was rebuffed, then dropped back, came back on under steady handling, and was just nosed out for third. PRIDE AND ATTITUDE raced two-wide near the rear in the early stages, got involved in the battle for the third spot but came up short. LESOTHO got brushed at the start by ELECTRIC MELODY, then was a bit rank and steadied into the first turn, then was the trailer to the far turn, ran on a bit in the end, but was never a serious factor. EXALTADA was always near the back and never fired. J. P INDY settled near the back on the inside, dropped to last with three furlongs to run and was not a factor in the late stages.
