Chart notes
SAILOR'S CHANCE settled at the rear of the main pack for the first half-mile, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, took over the lead three-wide at the top of the stretch, and drew away in the final yards. KADESH broke well and dueled through slow fractions with NOT YET CHARLIE to the far turn, was joined by CUGINE approaching the three-furlong pole as the first rival dropped out, put the second rival away in upper stretch, but was unable to fend off the winner in deep stretch and had to settle for second. CUGINE was held up behind the leaders on the clubhouse turn, content to track down the backstretch, then moved up on the far turn to join the pace near the three-furlong pole, loomed a threat at the top of the stretch, but flattened and was outfinished. BIG POPPER was the distant trailer to the stretch, then ran on some late to regain contact with the field but did not threaten. NOT YET CHARLIE dueled two-wide with KADESH through the early stages, then dropped out near the three-furlong pole and tired in the stretch. MY TWO AUNT JOANS was pushed from the start to get a forward position, settled behind the dueling leaders, then shifted out to the three-path turning down the backstretch, struggled to keep pace late on the turn, was put into a drive but was unable to rally and was outfinished in the stretch.
