Chart notes
JILLY RUNS DEEP went three-wide into the clubhouse turn, then settled in a stalking position down the backstretch, launched a bid approaching the three-furlong pole, took command before the quarter pole, then widened the margin in the stretch. EBONY'S SECRET shared the pace two-deep through slow fractions, quickened away with three furlongs to run, but was unable to go with the eventual winner, chased in vain through the stretch, and finished well clear of the next horse. PLAY BALL SUSIE was away well but ceded the lead on the first turn, moved up to join the leaders midway down the backstretch, put a head in front past the half-mile pole, quickened away from the rest with the top pair midway through the turn, could not keep up, kept to task, and took the third prize finishing a mile clear of the next horse. DESTINY'S TOT void of speed, raced far back to the far turn, ran on some late to improve. CHARDU veered outward at the start, raced in cover with the main pack to the far turn, then was unable to quicken and struggled home well behind. ONE MORE THING assumed the lead and gained the rail into the first turn, led the way under mild pressure, gave way with three furlongs to run, and stopped. Z B READY tracked close up four-wide for the first half-mile, then struggled to keep up when the pace quickened and was outrun the rest of the way.
