Chart notes
CHUCKANUT BAY prompted COASTAL JAZZ from along the outside, took the lead nearing the eighth pole and gradually drew clear. REDLINE was reserved off the pace, rallied five-wide into the stretch and finished strongly. COASTAL JAZZ saved ground setting the pace under pressure from CHUCKANUT BAY, responded when headed and held on fairly well for third. DIAMOND RIM was forwardly placed while three-wide and went evenly late. TIME TO FLY saved ground while being prominently placed, steadied nearing the seven-sixteenths pole in traffic, angled out for room and finished willingly. FIFTY CINCO saved ground while unhurried and failed to seriously threaten. COASTAL KID settled in the back of the field early, rallied four-wide the final quarter mile and was not a factor. CREATIVE OM showed brief speed from along the inside and tired. THE JOCKEY OF TIME TO FLY LODGED AN OBJECTON AGAINST DIAMOND RIM BUT AFTER VIEWING THE FILMS THE STEWARDS RULER THERE WAS INSUFFICIENT INTERFERENCE TO MERIT A DISQUALIFICATION AND MADE NO CHANGE IN THE ORDER OF FINISH. RACE WAS HAND-TIMED.
