Chart notes
SAMMY'S SMILE settled between horses in mid-pack, lacked a clear path on the far turn, then responded when set down in the clear in upper stretch, dueled with MISTER MOBIL through the last two furlongs, and pulled clear inside the sixteenth. MISTER MOBIL got a share of the early lead three-wide, pressed the pace three-wide to the far turn, then took command leaving the five-sixteenths marker, battled with SAMMY'S SMILE from upper stretch, and was outfinished in the final yards. RAVEN MOON raced mid-pack four-wide through the early stages, moved up on the four-turn, still wide, was no match for the top pair in the stretch, but kept on to hold third. VENTURE ON lacked a clear path and was held up through the first turn, settled back of the pack, then ran on a bit in the stretch to improve while never a serious threat. INDIAN FEVER was pushed to get forward position from the break, then contested the early pace from between horses, assumed the lead with three furlongs to run, but was overtaken by MISTER MOBIL shortly after, battled to the stretch, then tired and had little to offer late. HITE bobbled at the start, then was settled inside behind the pacesetters, settled mid-pack on the inside, then weakened on the far turn and lacked a finish. CONDEMNATION stumbled exiting the gate, then was caught five-wide on the clubhouse turn, advanced from the back of the field to get closer on the backstretch run, then made a mild bid on the turn but flattened out in the stretch. CLEVELAND POWER made the lead into the first turn, vied inside of a pair of rivals, then tired on the far turn.
