TWERK got off to an awkward start, then settled five-wide behind the pace battle, moved up from the seven-sixteenths marker, circled the field on the turn to gain contention approaching the quarter pole, bid five-wide into the late, altered course to the outside just past the three-sixteenths marker, then put in a strong late rally under steady handling to be along in time. POWER BANKER was off slow and lagged at the rear from the outset, launched a five-wide bid approaching the three-furlong pole, was six-wide as the field fanned out turning into the stretch, went to the lead in upper stretch, finished well, but was run down by the winner in the final yards. TRULY INCLUSIVE was three-deep in the early pace mix, then behind horses without a clear path through the turn, got some room as the field fanned out in upper stretch, and was not doing enough to get to the winner but finished well to gain third. CITY SIGNS pressed the early pace four-wide, put a head in front passing the five-sixteenths marker, floated a little wide into the stretch, then gave way inside the final furlong. TALE OF THE LYON broke well and went to the front, led the way under some pressure, several rivals in close pursuit, surrendered the lead approaching the quarter pole, and was outfinished in the stretch. DIAMONDS N DEW was a little slow to get going, then rushed up to the main pack, steadied in traffic near the nine-sixteenths marker, then became boxed in through the turn, got a clear run up the rail into the stretch, but flattened out in the late stages. RUBY LAYNE rushed up to join the leaders after a bit of a tardy start, started to drop back after passing the three-furlong pole and was eased up to the finish, was later reported to have bled. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE START, AFTER A SHORT REVIEW, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN.
