Chart notes
K P KWEST got forced inward and crowded near the gap by GODSEND, causing a chain reaction of trouble to the inside, managed to avoid the worst of it to settle behind the leading trio, took aim on the leaders at the top of the stretch, tipped out to the three path and finished up well under steady handling and urging to take command near the sixteenth marker and drew clear in the late stages. ALWAYS ON CAY broke well and was briefly up on the pace in the initial stages, steadied near the eleven-sixteenths marker, then dropped well off the pace, advanced through the turn under strong handling and intermittent urging, and finished well to get second. CENTRAL PARK was sent aggressively from the start, was the inside horse in a three-way pace battle, then dueld with K P WEST from late on the turn to mid-stretch, kept on well, but tired from early efforts and was overtaken in the final yards. GODSEND showed good speed in the initial stages, then angled over towards the inside but did not have a clear path and caused some chaos among the inside rivals, vied three-wide for the early lead, then pulled away with CENTRAL PARK from the three-furlong pole, dueled with that one to mid-stretch, then weakened in the final furlong. CROSS THE CAUSEWAY was outpaced in the early stages, settled mid-pack, started to run on a bit under handling from the three-furlong pole, finished with some interest but was not doing enough to threaten. A VIEW FROM ABOVE hustled from the gate, crossed over to vie for the early lead between two other rivals, was first of the trio to give way near the three-furlong pole and did not have much left for the stretch run. ROLLIN DICE shuffled back after the start, then took up sharply near the eleven-sixteenths marker as a crowd of horses converged directly in the path, lost ground and was unable to recover from that point. TOOLITTLETOOLATE was off slowly, then took up sharply in very tight quarters, nearly clipping heels just after clearing the gap, lost all momentum, and trailed from far behind the rest of the way.
