Chart notes
TOUGH AS AN OX broke well, vied three-wide on the early pace, took command passing the quarter pole, then opened up in the stretch to win as the rider pleased. COLONEL HORTON was allowed to settle into stride in the initial stages, then was coaxed up heading into the turn, bid three-wide at the head of the stretch, could not threaten the winner, but won a tight battle for the place. MENDELSSOHNS MUSIC was sent hard from the start, vied inside in a three-way early pace battle, kept on well late, but was outfinished for second in a game effort. SHAME THEM chased the main pack early from the middle of the strung-out field, finished with some late interest under urging. SEB N' SAM settled inside with the tracking pair, tipped out three wide for the stretch run, but lacked a meaningful rally. KROME'S KIDDO broke well and contested the early pace from between horses, ceded the lead midway on the turn, dropped off the pace, and was outrun through the stretch. TEQUILALITTLETIME was unsettled in the gate, then hopped slightly at the start, dropped far behind before the turn, then ran on a bit in the stretch but was unable to catch up to the rest of the field. ALI JAC had no speed despite being under a ride from the start, and was never a threat.
