Chart notes
WASABI BEACH made the lead without much pressure, kicked away with MAGIC MOTOWN after passing the half-mile pole, easily turned that one back midway on the turn, then drew clear in the stretch as much the best in this one. AFLOAT raced mid-pack along the rail, came under a ride at the three-furlong pole, and responded, but was never getting to the winner, but outfinished the rest to be a clear second. KICKSTART got away well, then was taken back off the pace initially, started a forward move going into the turn, then steadied just past the seven-sixteenths marker, lost momentum, kept to task late, and improved to claim the third prize. MAGIC MOTOWN was allowed to settle from the start, then moved up to pose an early threat to WASABI BEACH leaving the half, but was rebuffed on the turn, then finished evenly in the stretch. JUDY'S COMET off a bit slowly, settled near the back, saved ground but never got involved. SPECTACULAR D'ORO was a bit slow to get going, then moved up a bit late on the backstretch run, made a mild three-wide bid on the turn while under a ride, but was unable to sustain the bid and was outrun through the stretch.
