SHADOW STRIKE was off step slowly, advanced on the leaders on the backstretch run, then chased GIVE A LITTLE through the turn, bid for the lead approaching the stretch, raced greenly, and lugged in through the stretch but still managed to draw away in the final yards. OVID was hustled to the front from the start, then settled just behind the developing speed duel, lost some ground heading into the turn, moved up approaching the quarter pole, then put in a decent late run to get into second while no threat to the winner. LIVE A LITTLE broke best, led the way to the turn under some pressure from a pair of rivals to the outside, tried to slip away near the five-sixteenths marker but had SHADOW STRIKE still pressing the issue to the outside, kept on well but was outkicked in the final furlong. SWAYBACK MOBIL broke slowly then tracked at the back of the main pack to the turn, was kept to task under steady handling and urging, was never a serious threat, but did finish well clear of the next horse. KOZY K dropped back after the chart and was never a factor. DRILL CITY veered out at the start, then dropped far back early and never threatened. RUN PANCITA chased the early leaders from third position to the turn, then weakened and stopped in the stretch.
