Chart notes
GRIMES GLEN popped the gate and went to the front, drifted out turning into the stretch, then held off a challenge from SWEET KYLIE through the stretch under steady handling. SWEET KYLIE mutually bumped with KIDDIE COCKTAIL at the start, settled at the back initially, then advanced four-wide through the middle stages, bid for the lead approaching the quarter pole, was floated out side by GRIMES GLEN turning ino the stretch, altered course to the inside at the eight phole but could not get to the rival while finishing a mile clear of the next horse. KIDDIE COCKTAIL dropped back after the start, settled two-wide in mid-pack and lacked a significant finish but outlasted the rest of the field to claim the third prize. NO NAPPING ducked in a the start, making contact with GRIMES GLEN, spotted the field a bit of a head start, was last into the turn, came under the crop i the stretch but did not respond. GOLDEN HAUL broke in a bit of a tangle but was hustled up to press the pace, loomed a threat approaching the quarter pole but went flat in upper stretch and was unable to threaten. POWER VISION was off a step slow, then rushed up to chase the early leaders, was being coaxed along to keep up heading into the turn, but was unable to kick on and had little to offer in the stretch.
