Chart notes
ROMANIAN PRINCE contested the early pace from between horses, then dueled with FOURDATESFORHOCO into the stretch, gained the advantage on that one by mid-stretch, and went clear in the final yards. FOURDATESFORHOCO broke on top but veered out sharply at the start into the path of TEMPERED DREAM, vied three-wide on the early pace to the stretch, dueled with ROMANIAN PRICE through the stretch, exchanging a couple of bumps along the way, then came up a bit short in the late stages. TEMPERED DREAM was impeded by FOURDATESFORHOCO at the start, launched a bid with three furlongs to run, produced a steady finish through the stretch, but could not get close to the top pair. SILENT DRILL settled inside at the rear, not far from the leaders, was boxed in through the turn to mid-stretch, then was unable to quicken when clear and finished evenly. SADIE'S SILVER KID vied inside a pair of rivals to the stretch, then gave way. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE START, AFTER A BRIEF REVIEW, NO ACTION WAS TAKEN. THE JOCKEY ON #2 FOURDATESFORHOCO LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #2 ROMANIAN PRINCE ALLEGING INTERFERENCE AT THE TOP OF THE STRETCH. AFTER A REVIEW, THE OBJECTION WAS DISALLOWED AND THE ORIGINAL RESULTS WERE MADE OFFICIAL.
