CRAVINGS got bumped at the start by KEF, who broke outwards, pressed the pace among a quartet early on and then a trio from the two path, came under encouragement at the five-sixteenths marker and seized narrow command near the quarter pole, spun two to three wide into upper stretch, dug in under threat and was headed a furlong out, dueled through the final furlong with the runner up trading a bump a sixteenth out and gamely got in front again nearing the finish to prevail. CAROLANNIE coaxed from the gate, raced just off the pace five then four wide coming under urging with five-sixteenths to go, swung four to five wide into upper stretch, rallied to take command near the eighth pole coming in a path and a half as the rider leaned inwards while utilizing a left handed crop and bumped with CRAVINGS, dug in dueling through to the finish trading a bump a sixteenth out and getting narrowly displaced from command, fought on to the wire but was ultimately denied on the line. MARAJOLINE took the overland route seven paths off the inside down the backstretch and then six wide through the turn, went eight wide into upper stretch, closed well to latch on the top pair as they hit the finish. MEDIUM COOL coaxed from the gate, raced forwardly placed taking command from AMERICAN MINK with five furlongs to run, showed the way in hand along the inside under pressure from a pair of rivals, came under a ride at the five-sixteenths, yielded the front and took the inside route into upper stretch, dug in prominent to the eighth pole, then weakened in the late stages. ALMA'S LAW broke out at the start bumping CLARIVIDENTE, chased three then two wide under urging from three furlongs out, swung four wide for home, offered up a mild bid but was outkicked. CLARIVIDENTE got bumped at the start by ALMA'S LAW, who broke outwards, prompted the pace of MEDIUM COOL from outside the top pair three wide, came under coaxing near the quarter pole and cornered two to three wide into upper stretch, then tired. KEF broke out at the start bumping CRAVINGS, chased along the inside under a ride from the three-eighths pole, spun just off the inside into upper stretch and made no impact. AMERICAN MINK hustled from the start, showed the way early on four paths off the inside, got displaced from the front five furlongs out and gave chase briefly tucking to the two path near the half mile pole before heading inside through the turn, went six wide into upper stretch and faltered. There was a Jockey's Objection by the rider of CAROLANNIE alleging interference against CRAVINGS in the stretch. After review, the objection was dismissed and the result was allowed to stand prior to the race being declared official.
