Chart notes
DIRTY WORDS dueled from inside, disposed of SEATTLE SURF around the bend and held well under right handed urging and steady handling. GRINNELL chased outside a rival or off the rail, moved into second from the three path with a quarter mile remaining, finished determinedly in the furlong grounds but could not reach the winner. UNCLE EVCO was outquicked early, trailed on the inside then angled outside JOHNNY WHISPERS, rounded the bend in the three path and was along for the show honors. CITIZEN BARRETT chased off the rail then angled in for the turn, saved ground to the stretch, steered out in the lane and weakened. JOHNNY WHISPERS dropped off the pace when climbing early and angled inward, trailed on the inside around the bend, cut the corner into the stretch and passed a tired rival. SEATTLE SURF dueled from outside up the backstretch, lost touch with the leader midway around the turn and tired.
