Chart notes
ITSALLCOMINTOGETHA vied for the lead on the inside on the first turn, then went on to show the way while being well handled, kicked clear leaving the turn and then held sway late to prove best under a drive. PALAZZI was settled early on the outside while in the clear, advanced four wide by the quarter pole and closed well but could not get to the winner and had to settle for second best. THEMANUPFRONT vied for the lead three wide, then prompted the pace two wide and was ridden along nearing the quarter pole and faded in the final furlong while keeping on for the show award. SPIRIT PRINCE was allowed to settle early on the inside, then was coaxed along two to three wide on the far turn, ran up on heels nearing the quarter pole and was blocked briefly, swung out five wide leaving the turn and had a belated rally. SPIRITINTHENIGHT tracked the pace three to two wide and was ridden along by the five sixteenths and faded in the drive. DUNEDIN tracked the pace along the inside under a good hold, coaxed along on the far turn and weakened in the drive.
