THE GREAT HAYNES was off a bit slowly, advanced under a drive through the turn, bid five-wide near the top of the stretch, then finished well under strong handling to get up with room to spare. JUST CALL ME LUCKY hustled from the start, dueled with OLIVIAN to the turn, then surrendered the lead to that one through the turn, re-bid in deep stretch but could not hold off the winner in the final jumps. SUPER ANNIE hustled into the early pace mix, but steadily retreated to the back through the middle stages, sung out to the seven-path and put in a big run in the last sixteenth to get into third. DAHLIA'S DANCER rushed up wide down the backstretch, chased the leading pair through the turn, loomed in deep stretch, but was outfinished in the final yards. OLIVIAN was hustled from the start, took the lead past the half-mile pole, then opened up on the turn, had a clear lead in upper stretch, then started to get short inside the furlong marker and gave way grudgingly. HAPPY CHAPPY hustled into the early pace battle but was not fast enough to contend, stayed to the inside and kept to task, had every chance with a furlong to run but was outfinished. BACALAR was briefly close up, lost ground through the turn, came back on with a rail bid in the stretch, finished willingly but was not quite good enough. BOSTON PRINCESS stumbled at the start, moved up to mid-pack, but could not generate a late bid. PRINCESS JAYLEEN raced mid-pack, made a middle move to get into contention, then went a bit flat in the stretch and was unable to threaten late. SPRINKLES chased from well behind, kept to the inside through the turn, advanced into contention in the upper stretch, but could not sustain the bid in the late stages. GAME TO PLAY dropped to the rear early and chased the field down the backstretch, then lacked a finish.
