Chart notes
AUGUSTINIAN was away alertly to set the pace while clear on the inside on the turn while in hand to leaving the quarter pole, kicked away leaving the turn and was given one pop right handed with the crop and drew off in the final furlong to prove much the best while being ridden out. FUOCO VIVO prompted the winner two wide on the turn and then proved to be no match for that rival while being second best. MR. TRAVELIN' MAN chased the early pace on the inside and then moved off the inside to be two to three wide on the turn, came four wide into the lane and was along for the show award. LITTLE BIG MAN was settled early and saved ground on the turn and improved late for the minor rewards. ASK ME IF I CARE was settled early and raced two to three wide on the turn, angled out in the lane and had no rally. LOST MONEY was well placed early and drafted behind the leaders on the inside on the turn but came up empty in the drive. BATTALION LEADER was off slowly and raced three to four wide on the turn and came five wide into the lane but was not a threat.
