Chart notes
COUNTRY PROMISES broke well, then was allowed to settle, tracked BELLA FLORA early, then moved up to challenge leaving the three-furlong pole, pulled even at the top of the stretch, dueled that rival through the lane, then gained the upper hand inside the sixteenth pole and pulled clear in the final yards. BELLA FLORA sprinted clear early, held sway through the turn, then got some pressure from COUNTRY PROMISES at the five-sixteenths marker, dueled that rival gamely into the stretch but weakened a bit in the final yards. SUNNY LION broke a bit awkwardly, settled initially at the rear, saved ground through the turn while being ridden to keep up, kept to task and moved late to gain third. RON DAH LOU lugged in at the start and bumped hard with SPECIAL COLLETTE, was otherwise away well, settled mid-pack through the early stages, started a forward move from the half-mile pole, got to within a length of the leaders midway through the turn, but was unable to quicken in the stretch while racing on the wrong lead, and was passed up for a minor award. MOODY RIVER veered out at the start, tracked four-wide near the back, and lacked a finish. SPECIAL COLLETTE broke out and bumped RON DAH LOU, raced near the back, made a mild bid into the turn but could not sustain and faltered in the stretch. SHE IS DYNAMIC dropped far behind early and was never a factor.
