Chart notes
ELEGANT OKIE broke well, then settled just off the pace three-wide, launched a bid from the three-furlong pole, collared FLAT OUT KELCE on the lead in deep stretch, and went clear. FLAT OUT KELCE gained a clear advantage early, battled back when confronted by ELEGANT OKIE at the top of the stretch, maintained a slight advantage to deep stretch, then gave way grudgingly in the final yards. CODE AURIE broke well but was not fast enough to contest the early pace, settled mid-pack, advanced to the leaders under a drive late on the turn, loomed a threat from the top of the stretch but had some trouble with the lead change, finished well, but ran out of time. I MIGHT BE TROUBLE was devoid of speed from the start, raced far back early, kept to the inside through the turn, then swung five-wide into the stretch and improved position. SNEAKING A KISS gave an even effort. CHASE'S LIL MILLY broke slowly, raced at the rear of the main pack to the turn, then flattened out in the stretch. GOSPEL LOIS got away well, was close up to the turn, then did not respond when asked to go on from midway through the turn, and did not menace. GOSPEL DARLENE ducked out at the start, then tracked four-wide, then came up empty in the stretch. DODGEBALL QUEEN was outrun through the early stages, then had nothing to offer in the stretch.
