Chart notes
MONGOLIAN MEMORY bobbled at the start, then settled at the back, steadily advanced up the inside through the turn, swung out four-wide into the stretch, finished well under steady handling despite racing on the left lead, and edged ahead in the final yards. DESPERATE MAN tracked inside behind the pacesetters, moved up to three-wide to challenge for the lead approaching the quarter pole, finished up weill but could not get past the winner in the late stages. BODENHEIMER broke well and was pushed to get forward position, went a length clear by the half, maintained a narrow advantage through the turn, assumed command in upper stretch, but could not hold off the closers in the final yards. CENTRAL PARK raced close up four-wide down the backstretch, then bid for the lead late on the turn, came five-wide into the stretch and was unable to find a late kick when needed. YO DAWG raced two-wide in mid-pack and lacked a rally. COUSIN RICHIE outrun through the early stages, had trouble changing leads at the top of the stretch, then finished evenly once straightened out. FIRST CALL broke on top but opted to stalk the early pace two-wide, bid for the lead at the three-furlong pole, poked a head in front before the quarter pole, but flattened out in upper-stretch on the wrong lead and faded. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
