Chart notes

QUERY broke alertly, contested the early pace from outside of COCKTAIL HUMOR, dueled that rival into the turn then continued to battle into the stretch, shook free into the final sixteenth and drew clear late. BLO BY THE FIELD got squeezed then took up at the start and was off slowly, settled off of the early pace, advanced outside of rivals into the turn, angled widest to upper stretch, was gaining in the final furlong, could not reel in the winner in deep stretch but got up in time for the place. COCKTAIL HUMOR showed good early speed, engaged with QUERY and dueled for pace duties inside of that rival along the backstretch, disputed the pace into the turn then battled QUERY into the stretch, was repelled nearing the final sixteenth, yielded in deep stretch and was outfinished late for second. CASA JUANITA settled in the second flight in the early stages, tracked the leading pair three wide into the turn, chased four wide to upper stretch, could not find the needed response in the drive and weakened late. CRUZIN ANNA tracked the early pace from the inside, was well placed to the turn and saved ground nearing the quarter marker, chased from the inside into upper stretch and did not rally late. KASHMIR WITCH tracked the early pace from between rivals, ran in pursuit two wide and between foes into the turn, chased into upper stretch, could not find the needed response at mid-stretch and gave way.
