Chart notes
STACY ELLEN veered in and bumped with JAC'S COCOABELLA at the start, was fastest of a quartet bidding for the early lead, put a head in front before the half, led the field through the turn, driifted out to the two path turning for home, then, lugged in despite left handed urging, putting HOLIDAY BETTY in tight in upper stretch, and held clear to the wire. HOLIDAY BETTY was away well and vied inside of five horses for the early lead, backed off a bit before the turn, then came back to challenge for the lead approaching the quarter pole, took advantage of an opening along the rail, then had to take up sharply just past the three-sixteenths, lost momentum but came back to save the place. JAC'S COCOABELLA got squeezed and shuffled back at the start, was last early, then coaxed forward heading into the turn, moved up four-wide, then produced a steady finish to close in through the late stages. LIL SHARPIE tracked close up three-wide through the backstretch run, was under a ride midway through the turn, then went evenly through the stretch and was outfinished for the minor award. BOBBER'S ROCKET was hustled up from the start, tracked three-wide while being coaxed along to keep pace, dropped out before the quarter pole, kept to task through the stretch, but was unable to improve. MO DON'T STOP was close up five-wide down the backstretch, then four-wide through the turn, and lacked a finish. TEAM CHIQUITA broke out at the start, bumped and steadied to be away poorly, chased the field from well back and never threatened. THERE WAS A STEWARDS INQUIRY INTO THE INCIDENT AT THE TOP OF THE STRETCH. ALSO, THE JOCKEY ON #1 HOLIDAY BETTY LODGED A CLAIM OF FOUL AGAINST #4 STACY ELLEN ALLEGING INTERFERENCE NEAR THE 3/16 POLE. AFTER A REVIEW THE STEWARDS UPHELD THE FOUL CLAIM AND DISQUALIFIED #4 STACY ELLEN FROM THE WIN AND PLACED 2ND.
