Chart notes
GRAND BEY was allowed to settle from the break, tracked four-wide down the backstretch, moved up to challenge the dueling leaders approaching the quarter pole, loomed three-wide at the top of the stretch, and finished strong under steady handling to win going away. BRIGHT CHARGER dueled inside of a rival to the stretch, then weakened in the final furlong but kept on well to save second. LAST U TURN broke on top, then dueled with BRIGHT CHARGER late on the backstretch and through the turn, kept on well but was outfinished in the final yards. BETTA GO GO GO broke well, then took back from the developing speed duel, tracked two-deep to the turn, tipped out four-wide for the stretch run, and finished with interest but was not doing enough in the late stages to pose a threat. TIE BREAKER LENNIE was devoid of speed and far back early, then ran on some through the stretch to improve position. A LA CARTE broke out and made some contact with the outside rival, raced near the back early, got to the inside and moved up into contention into the turn, had every chance at the top of the stretch but lacked a finish and faded in the late stages. REGAL TEMPLE was up with the tracking group to the turn, then started a steady retreat and had nothing to offer in the stretch.
