Chart notes
SECURED FREEDOM chased off the rail or outside a rival, drew closer around the bend and loomed three wide approaching the stretch, challenged the top pair at the top of the lane, seized control with a furlong remaining and won going away. CAPTAIN SHREVE vied three deep to the turn, dueled outside COMMISSIONED past the five-sixteenths pole, relinquished the lead to SECURED FREEDOM at the eighth pole, could not fight back in the furlong grounds but was able to hold second. COMMISSIONED vied inside a pair of rivals up the backstretch, dueled with CAPTAIN SHREVE past the five-sixteenths pole, fought to upper stretch and weakened. WINSTON AVE bumped with LIAM SMITH early, chased along the rail into the turn, eased over to the two path midway around the bend, entered the lane between rivals and lacked the needed response. PLAGARIST fought for the lead between rivals to the three-eighths pole, could not keep up with the top pair midway around the bend and weakened in the lane. LIAM SMITH bumped with WINSTON AVE then got crowded between rivals early and began to climb, trailed off the rail to the turn, passed a rival while taking the turn two then three wide around the bend and had little left for the stretch run.
