Chart notes
CARMEL ROSE broke awkwardly and was last away from the start, made a three wide move into the first turn while a bit keen, took command into the backstretch run and set the pace to the far turn, met the bid of ELECTRIC MELODY while three wide to upper stretch, gamely dug in into the final furlong and held off the runner-up in deep stretch to prevail. ELECTRIC MELODY settled to the first turn and was well placed into the backstretch run, roused into the far turn, bid from the four path to upper stretch then confronted CARMEL ROSE into the lane, battled that rival to the final sixteenth, was held at bay in the late stages but was clear of the rest for second. GOOSEBUMPS set the early pace then took back into the backstretch, trailed to the far turn while not far back, chased two wide into upper stretch, could not muster the needed response into the final sixteenth but was clear in the end for third. OH GLORIOUS DAY was forwardly placed early on while three then two wide, contested the pace to the backstretch then lost position into the far turn, could not find more into upper stretch and weakened in the drive.
