RED ROYALTY got squeezed at the start and was off slowly, settled to the first turn then made a steady advance into the backstretch, waited for racing room into the far turn, angled out to upper stretch and was full of run into the drive, took command at mid-stretch and drew clear late under mild urging. SECRET JOURNEY settled in the second flight and outside of rivals in the early going, was widest to the half-mile marker, bid four wide into the far turn then took command to upper stretch, held off foes past the furlong marker, was overtaken by RED ROYALTY into the final sixteenth, could not keep pace with the winner late and was a clear second. IDES OF DEMARCH tracked the early pace from the second flight and between rivals, was well placed while three to four wide nearing the half-mile, bid between foes into the far turn, ran in pursuit of SECRET JOURNEY into the stretch, yielded in the late stages and just held for third at the wire. CLEARLY INISH settled outside of rivals to the first turn then was unhurried to the backstretch, advanced at the quarter pole, swung widest to upper stretch, flattened out in the drive and just missed at the wire for third. DARK THIRTY rated just off of the early pace and was well placed to the first turn, tracked the decent pace from between rivals along the backstretch, vied between foes into the far turn, could not find the needed response into upper stretch and weakened in the lane. SHE'S MAD prominent in the early going, stalked the pace to the first turn then went up and contested the pace with BETTY WHO into the backstretch run, disputed the decent pace to the half-mile and led to the far turn, was overtaken at the quarter marker and gave way in the drive. BETTY WHO hustled leaving the start, led to the first turn then contested the pace with SHE'S MAD into the backstretch run, gave way into the far turn and came up empty in the late stages.
