SUNSET TOWN hustled for the early lead, assumed command and showed the way to the first turn, set a prompted pace to the backstretch, shook free nearing the half-mile marker, dictated terms to the far turn then drew clear nearing the quarter pole, dug in when challenged into upper stretch, held off foes into the final furlong and was ridden out late for a convincing win. THIRD CITY raced close up to the early pace while three wide, tracked the pace along the backstretch run, chased SUNSET TOWN into the far turn then was repelled to upper stretch, ran in pursuit of the winner into the drive, could not impact the winner in deep stretch but stayed on to be second best. MAGIC MOVER settled off of the early pace while never far back, tracked two wide and between foes into the backstretch run, advanced between rivals into the far turn, mounted a rail bid to upper stretch, battled to the furlong pole then was turned away nearing the sixteenth-marker, was outkicked late for the place honors and held for the show at the wire. ROMANIAN PRINCE allowed to settle in the early stages, was unhurried while three to four wide along the backstretch, got caught in tight and steadied nearing the three-eighths pole, ran in pursuit four wide to the stretch, finished evenly in the drive and just missed for third. JUS TOO FLY settled leaving the start then was caught a bit wide to the first turn, raced widest to the half-mile pole then mounted a five wide bid into the far turn, chased the leaders four wide to upper stretch then could not sustain his run late and flattened out. SWING STATE was forwardly placed to the first turn, tracked the pace from the inside heading into the backstretch, was well placed to the half-mile marker, saved ground to the far turn, lacked the needed response nearing the quarter pole and weakened in the stretch. LOMACHENKO settled in the second flight and outside of rivals heading into the first turn, tracked the pace four wide to the half-mile marker, lacked the needed response into the far turn, got shuffled back midway through the bend and gave way into the stretch drive. LAW OF THE JUNGLE got crowded a bit at the start and settled heading to the first turn, saved ground to the backstretch, trailed to the half-mile marker, maintained an inside path to the stretch and did not factor in the late stages. PEARL OF ACLAIM (GB) was forwardly placed in the early running, contested the pace into the backstretch run, lost ground into the far turn and tired in the stretch drive. LOOK TO THE CROSS broke a bit slowly and was allowed to settle to the first turn, was unhurried along the backstretch, was injured and lost action into the far turn, was pulled up nearing the quarter pole and was transported off of the course via the equine ambulance.
