Chart notes
DEVIL AMONG US , brushed at the break, quickly recovered and moved up to contest the pace outside a foe then between rivals, gained a slim lead leaving the far turn, clung to the advantage under stout left handed encouragement past the furlong grounds then shook clear in the final yards. SIR BREGOVIC , away alertly, bid three deep to join the leaders heading to the half, battled outside the winner from the five sixteenths to past mid stretch, remained on his left lead and gave way grudgingly. CRASH CORRIGAN chased the sparring trio leaving the far turn, angled four wide approaching the stretch and closed steadily through the final sixteenth. BODENHEIMER sped to a slim early lead inside foes, stayed engaged under a hustling ride around the turn, came back a bit near mid stretch then faded late. THIEF IN THE NIGHT settled back off the embattled trio, worked outward in the final furlong and churned on. SHACKLEFORD STRONG , brushed at the break, drafted back off the pace and failed to get involved.
