Chart notes
FLYIN BY veered in at the start and crowded inner rival, showed good early speed and vied for the lead along the inside, set the pace into the turn, carved out a decent pace to the quarter pole then held sway to upper stretch, kept to task under steady late handling and proved best. GINGER IN CHARGE chased the early pace from between rivals, was caught a bit tight while in traffic along the backstretch, went two wide into the turn then shifted to the rail nearing the quarter marker, made a sustained inside bid into the stretch, could not reel in the winner late and held for second. THE GREAT HAYNES broke a step slowly then settled off of the early pace while never far back, saved ground to the turn and was well placed nearing the quarter pole, tipped out to upper stretch and chased to the furlong grounds, was outkicked late and held clearly for third. CRYSTAL PROOF got crowded at the start and was last away from the gate, settled off of the early pace and trailed to the turn, got caught in traffic at the quarter pole, angled five wide to upper stretch, was gaining in the late stages but could not reel in the leaders in deep stretch. HAPPY CHAPPY stumbled at the start but recovered quickly and disputed the early pace from between rivals, pressed the pace two wide into the turn, drifted three to four wide to upper stretch, ran in pursuit to the furlong grounds and weakened in the final sixteenth. BACALAR chased the early pace from between rivals, ran in pursuit four to five wide into the turn, maintained a wide trip to upper stretch and did not rally late. SPRINKLES pressed the early pace three deep, lost ground nearing the quarter marker and gave way in the stretch. B C CHU CHU tracked the early pace while widest along the backstretch, ran in pursuit six wide nearing the quarter marker, was outrun to upper stretch and did not factor late. PRINCESS JAYLEEN chased the early pace from between foes while five to six wide, ran in pursuit to the quarter marker, swung widest to upper stretch and came up empty in the late stages.
