GODSEND engaged foes from the outside early on and vied four deep to the half, fought on three deep leaving the five sixteenths, secured command while about five wide into the stretch, kicked clear under a drive near the furlong grounds, drifted out several paths through the final sixteenth and held sway. HAIL STATE drifted in at the break and brushed with a rival, corrected and chased three wide between foes, remained between runners with pursuit near the sixteenth marker and dug in gamely to narrowly earn the place. EL DIAMANTE NEGRO showed speed then drafted back off the leaders, chased four wide outside horses leaving the five sixteenths, edged up leaving mid stretch and continued on willingly outside HAIL STATE while just missing second. PESO showed speed and vied three wide between runners to the half, battled two wide between rivals mid turn, stayed on with good effort leaving mid stretch then gave way grudgingly. CROSS THE CAUSEWAY , in tight soon after the break, raced off the pace and between runners leaving the far turn, was fanned eight wide approaching the stretch, straightened away and kept on trying to the wire. FROSTEDBIRD broke a step slow, was hard sent inside rivals to reach contention, vied on near even terms leaving the far turn, remained close under a hustling ride in mid stretch then weakened late. SILVER DASH hopped at the break then was lightly steadied, settled well wide into the turn, came four wide for the drive and offered belated action between foes. SHACKLEFORD STRONG , bumped at start, recovered and stalked the embattled leaders while saving ground, shifted out four wide soon into the lane, loomed briefly, failed to go on past mid stretch then faded under a hand ride. JULLIAN IN PARIS broke a step slow, was rated back early, drifted seven wide near the quarter pole bothering CROSS THE CAUSEWAY, corrected but failed to make serious inroads through the final furlong. BIG TICKET , brushed and squeezed back at the break, saved ground making a bit of headway into the lane then flattened out. GENERAL THAYER drifted five wide past the five sixteenths and faded. FAST CHAZ , bumped at the start, disputed the pace two wide between foes, steadied when attempting to get out leaving the far turn then faltered.
