EZ COWBOY broke sharply then ceded to a host of hustled inner foes, tracked four then three wide, bid three deep leaving the far turn, dueled and gained a short lead into the lane, went head to head outside CACTUS LEAGUE past mid stretch, failed to contain the winner's outer charge but kept on valiantly to save the place. PI TIME , urged along in the clear and off of a contested early pace, picked up steam leaving the three eighths, circled five wide with an advance into the lane, remained on his left lead and kept on with a grinding run to the wire. CACTUS LEAGUE rushed up in the opening sixteenth to join the pace fray, dueled into and around the turn, stayed on with EZ COWBOY to the sixteenth pole then faded late. RYON'S CHANCE , off slowly then ducked in briefly, regrouped and saved ground, made steady progress from the far turn to upper stretch, angled out then came up empty. LARRY'S GOLD , bumped at the break, chased three wide nearing the half then failed to kick on under a ride leaving the five sixteenths. MONSTER MATT broke inward bumping LARRY'S GOLD, corrected and raced off the pace while off the inside, offered a bit of a response through the final furlong but failed to seriously get involved. ARIZONA MOON BEAM , urged along off the pace and to the inside of a rival, angled out soon into the lane then tightened RUSTEZE BUMPER OIL when shifting in off the heels of a tiring rival in deep stretch. EZ RACER sent up to contention, dueled outside a rival into the turn then between runners around the turn, failed to go on with the leaders nearing mid stretch and weakened. ANGEL'S EFFORT , three wide between rivals leaving the half, angled in around the turn then failed to drum up a rally. RUSTEZE BUMPER OIL broke awkwardly, angled in some early then raced four deep nearing the half, angled in around the turn to make some progress, lacked a response past mid stretch then lost his rider when being put in tight quarters nearing the wire. Following a stewards' inquiry into the stretch run, ARIZONA MOON BEAM was disqualified and placed last.
