Chart notes
ZOFFARELLI (IRE) settled while saving ground to the backstretch, maintained an inside path to the quarter marker, angled out then back inside nearing the furlong pole, rallied along the rail and took command into the final sixteenth, kept to task in deep stretch and held for the win in the final yards. GOODFELLA (IRE) was well placed in the early stages, tracked the leading pair while saving ground up the backstretch, saved ground to the far turn then tipped out two wide into upper stretch, bid into the final furlong, was outkicked by the winner in deep stretch and held for the place. I'M NOBLE settled while saving ground in the early stages, advanced between rivals then was caught in tight nearing the half-mile pole, checked at the three-eighths and was roused while widest to upper stretch, closed willingly into the lane, could not reel in the top pair late and held for third. THE BLACK STRAT was hustled away from the start, dueled through solid fractions inside of SEAS OF NORMANDY into the backstretch, led to the quarter marker then dug in into upper stretch, was overtaken past mid-stretch and yielded in the final sixteenth. SEAS OF NORMANDY sent to vie for early command, engaged with THE BLACK STRAT and dueled for pace duties outside of that rival into the backstretch, contested a solid pace to the second turn, vied for the lead three wide into upper stretch, could not keep pace into the final furlong and gave way late. GOOD SWIMMER settled off of the contested early pace, tracked two wide along the backstretch run, chased three deep into the far turn then swung five wide to upper stretch, needed more at the furlong marker and weakened in the final stages. SONIC SPEED settled outside of rivals to the first turn, tracked the decent pace four wide to the half-mile marker, chased three wide to the quarter pole, could not find the needed response in upper stretch and failed to threaten in the late stages.
