Chart notes
CROWN PROSECUTOR tracked the early pace from outside of rivals, went up to stalk four wide approaching the turn, chased the leading pair nearing the quarter marker, was set down to upper stretch and rallied to the furlong pole, battled BOOMING BERNARDO to the final sixteenth, repelled the runner-up in deep stretch and held safely for the win in the final yards. BOOMING BERNARDO broke alertly, contested the early pace three wide and between foes, dueled outside of PONDEROSA into the turn, pressed the pace to the quarter pole then battled to upper stretch, took a narrow lead leaving the furlong marker and met the bid of CROWN PROSECUTOR into the final sixteenth, was turned away in deep stretch and held clearly for second. PONDEROSA broke a step slowly then was sent to contest the early pace from the inside, disputed a decent pace into the turn, dueled from the two path nearing the quarter pole then battled into the stretch, yielded to the top pair in the final sixteenth and got up in time to earn the show honors. COME HOME vied for the early lead from between rivals, took back into the turn, angled to the rail nearing the top of the stretch then re-bid at the furlong pole, was outkicked in the final sixteenth and just missed for third. LORD STERLING settled off of the contested early pace, saved ground into the turn, swung three then four wide to the stretch, could not muster the needed response in the late stages and finished evenly. JOHNNY WHISPERS rated off of the contested early pace, coaxed two wide into the turn, swung widest to upper stretch and did not rally late.
