Chart notes
WASHINGTON'S UNION settled close up just behind the pace, made a forward move after passing the half-mile pole, pulled even with ROYALLY FLUSHED at the quarter pole, edged ahead by mid-stretch, then held off a late bid from an outside rival near the wire. FOOD FOODIE went three wide on both turns, was unhurried and trailed the field to the far turn, came out on the last turn and put in a good late run to claim the second prize. LOMACHENKO set the early pace under mild pressure from ROYALLY FLUSHED, gave way to that one going into the far turn, dropped back, was kept to task under a steady drive, and came back on a bit in deep stretch to grab the minor award. ROYALLY FLUSHED veered out at the start then was pushed some to get forward position, pulled on the rider through the turn and down the backstretch, then was let loose after passing the half, took over the lead with WASHINGTON'S UNION picking up the class midway through the turn, dueled with that rival into the stretch and weakened inside the furlong marker. MR LAOBAN settled off the pace while being coaxed along a bit to keep pace, came under a stiff drive on the far turn and struggled to keep up in the late stages.
