Chart notes
AUTHENTIC COWTOWN tracked three-wide, launched a bid from the three-furlong pole, took the lead in upper stretch, and drew clear in the final furlong. OLLIE'S FOLLY broke well, stalked the pace two-wide, bid for the lead near the quarter pole with AUTHENTIC COWTOWN, but could not go with that one, kept on to save the place. SWEET LEMON DROP steadied just after the start, advanced under a drive three-wide through the turn, and chugged along in the late stages to gain third. STONE COLD CAT raced in last and wide through the early stages, continued wide through the turn and into the stretch, and ran on with some interest but came up short for a minor award. JIM'S RIVER RUNNER moved up after a tardy start to race in a tracking position close ot the pace, had aim on the leaders at the top of the stretch, failed to change leads, and faltered. HARTSTEIN settled near the back of the pack, swung five-wide into the stretch, was outfinished, and unable to improve. ILIKETHAT broke awkwardly to the inside, hit the front before traveling a furlong, led the way into the turn, then weakened approaching the quarter pole, and tired in the stretch. ORVILLE B raced close up along the rail early, lost the path and took up at the seven-sixteenths marker, dropped back to last on the turn, and was unable to regain momentum.
