NANISCA set the pace on the inside, opened up a clear lead, responded when roused and held well under urging in the lane. VIROLOGIST raced off the pace inside, chased inside on the turn, angled out entering the stretch, rallied, finished well but second best. DIAMOND ESSENCE was bumped and steadied after the start, raced off the pace inside, advanced on the turn, came four wide into the lane and rallied mildly outside. VIVID ARTISTE raced two wide off the pace, saved ground on the turn and failed to threaten. NAUGHTY DESTINY bumped at the start, tracked on the inside, chased between rivals on the turn and weakened. LUCKY OPPORTUNITY bumped at the start, chased two wide early, then three wide on the turn and tired.
