Chart notes
DRILL'S LI'L MAN tracked the pace four wide, was under coaxing past the three eighths and had aim of the embattled leaders leaving the five sixteenths, bid three deep into the lane, asserted himself under vigorous rousing near mid stretch and drew clear. OLYMPIC LEGEND accelerated between runners and took over in the opening furlong, set the pace off the inside and under some rating, dug in when joined from his inside leaving the far turn, battled between rivals while holding a slim lead into the stretch, could not quite go with the outer winner heading to the sixteenth marker but continued with good effort to be clear of the rest. CHELSIESDANZIGLITE , in close attendance from the start, secured the inside to prompt, bid inside OLYMPIC LEGEND exiting the far turn, dueled on near even terms past the five sixteenths, continued a presence past mid stretch then faded late. MAGOO broke outward bumping a rival, saved ground mid turn, worked outward in the final sixteenth and finished with interest. XTREME MAYHEM showed speed to be close, pursued the pace scrum while off the inside, remained in range behind foes leaving the three sixteenths but one paced through the final furlong. BIG DON'S SMILING broke outward, straightened and chased four wide, wandered outward a few paths entering the stretch and came up empty. BERNALINHO , bumped at the break, dropped off the pace while saving some ground, raced two to three wide in upper stretch, lacked a rally and had his rider lose the crop in deep stretch. MONGOLIAN FROST , urged in the clear early on while removed from the rail, swung six to seven wide for the drive but failed to muster up a rally. SHACKLEFORD STRONG , bumped at the break, raced off the pace and outside a rival leaving the far turn, angled out, circled five wide into the stretch but lacked a run. SNAP COUNT broke a step slow and was outrun. RONAMO dropped off the pace while well off the rail, was pulled up mid turn then transported off the track via the equine ambulance. This race had a timing discrepancy or malfunction, and was re-timed using video technology to arrive at the most accurate time.
