Chart notes
CHASING RAIN showed the way, was nudged along confidently from the three path around the turn, roused passing the quarter, kicked away at the top of the lane, and was wrapped up in the final furlong. CAUTION CARDINAL laid up close in the two path, was pushed along around the turn, floated out to the five path at the top of the lane, and chased on to be second best. THE SCENT raced off the pace inside, was ridden around the turn, cut the corner turning into the lane, then faded but was along for show. KANGAROO COAST prompted the inner pacesetter in the four path, was cued midway around the turn, but weakened in the stretch. HONOR THE CAT had a slow start, trailed in the four path and did not threaten. HOT GOBLIN broke slowly, chased in the three path, was coaxed along around the turn, but retreated down the stretch.
