Chart notes
INSTIGATION settled well behind the pacesetter, moved off the rail and was joined on the inside by REASONS WE DRINK near the half-mile pole, shook free of that rival in upper stretch, took aim on the runaway leader, and drew clear. MIESHA raced between rivals in the tracking group, came four wide into the stretch, had some trouble changing leads but kept on well to chase the winner home while holding clear for the place. KINGDOM TRAILS settled at the back of the pack down the backstretch, went five-wide through the turn, then rallied late to gain third. AMY'S STAR gave an even effort but was never a serious threat. REASONS WE DRINK moved up to join INSTIGATION tracking the leader midway down the backstretch, kept up with that one through the turn, but could not go on in the stretch, and faded. WHISKEY DIAMOND went quickly to a big early lead, widened through the turn, started to shorten strides after passing the quarter pole, and gave way in upper stretch.
