Chart notes
HOBY CAT was reserved off the pace racing four-wide, came five-wide into the stretch, gained the lead nearing the eighth pole and was fully extended to prevaill. CAESAREA was forwardly placed racing three-wide, briefly waited room nearing the quarter pole, angled out to come six-wide into the stretch and finished strongly. POETIC WORDS was allowed to settle racing three-wide rallied four-wide into the stretch to join the leaders but could not stay with the top two late in a steady effort. JUST CALL RIP was unhurried, rallied three-wide into the stretch and improved his position. TOTAL SILENCE vied for the early lead from along the inside racing in hand and then weakened during the drive. DAREDEVIL DOUG prompted the pace racing two-wide and tired. NEWARK was prominently placed early racing three-wide, gave way before going a half mile, was pulled up and walked off.
