Chart notes
KIRBY DERBY raced in the four path around the first turn, settled in the middle of the pack on the outside for the run up the backstretch, began a bid from the four path coming around the far turn and kicked clear in the lane. TEN FIGURES raced in the two path early, continued up the backstretch in the middle of the pack on the inside, began a bid from the three path passing the three eighths pole and chased the winner home in the stretch. MALIBU RAIN was away from the gate slowly, raced in the two path around the first bend, settled off the pace for the run up the backstretch, swung out to the five path to began a bid entering the stretch and improved position from there. JOHN JOHN trailed the field while saving ground through the opening half mile, swung out to the five and six path coming around the second turn, began a bid passing the quarter pole and made up some ground in the lane. CLUE raced in the five path around the first turn, pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, navigated the far turn from the two path and faded in the stretch. MAJOR CONTENDER raced in the three path around the first bend, dueled on the outside up the backstretch, saved ground around the far turn and tired in the lane. SHARP STICK saved ground early, dueled on the inside up the backstretch, came around the second bend in the two path and tired in the stretch. AN INQUIRY WAS MADE INTO THE START. UPON REVIEW, NO CHANGES WERE MADE TO THE ORDER OF FINISH.
