Chart notes
GIFT GORGEOUS pressed the pace on the outside up the backstretch, came around the turn in the three path, drifted out in midstretch, bumping with LONE MOUNTAIN GIRL, and dueled to the wire from there to just hold the win. LONE MOUNTAIN GIRL chased the leader up the backstretch, challenged from the four path coming around the turn, bumped with GIFT GORGEOUS when that rival drifted into her lane near the eighth pole and dueled to the finish from there to narrowly miss. IN SPITE OF IT dueled on the outside up the backstretch, saved ground around the bend and was caught in late stretch. DISTORTED CAT raced off the pace on the outside up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the four path and improved position in the lane. GRAZEN GATOR raced at the back of the pack on the outside through the opening quarter, began a bid from the five path coming around the bend and flattened out in the stretch. NALA raced off the pace between horses up the backstretch, came around the bend in the three path and made no bid. CHARLOTTE'S SPIDER raced off the pace on the inside up the backstretch, continued around the turn in the three path and was empty in the lane. BUBBLES UP dueled on the inside through the early going, navigated the turn from the two path and tired in the stretch. STAY BY THE BEACH raced in the middle of the pack on the inside up the backstretch, dropped back while saving ground around the bend and continued to tire from there. BOTH THE RIDER AND THE TRAINER OF HORSE FIVE, LONE MOUNTAIN GIRL, CLAIMED FOUL AGAINST HORSE NINE, GIFT GORGEOUS, CITING INTERFERENCE IN THE STRETCH.
