Chart notes
TOAST TO COAST prompted the outer pacesetter from the two path early, lost ground under a drive around the far turn, angled out to the five path at the top of the lane, re-rallied entering the final furlong, and nailed the inner pacesetter at the wire. SMASH dictated terms from the three path up the backstretch, waited around the far turn, came under pressure passing the quarter, dug in gamely from the four path into the final furlong, but got nailed by an outer foe at the wire. ONLY GET'N BETTER trailed from the two path turning up the backstretch, rounded the far turn while driven along in the four path, angled out to the six path in upper stretch, and ran on for show. GHOST BIKE raced up close between foes in the three path, came under pressure while merging into the two path entering the far turn, then finished evenly in the stretch. ALL MY LIFE stalked outside of rivals, was pushed along from the four path around the far turn, but flattened in the final furlong. SUCCESSION GOLD chased in the four path, was ridden around the far turn, but made no closing bid. ROYAL DRAGOON raced off the pace inside but did not threaten. NO CHANGES WERE MADE AFTER THE STEWARDS HELD AN INQUIRY TO LOOK AT THE RUN INTO THE FAR TURN.
