Chart notes
STAR ELLA raced well off the pace through the first half-mile, started to run on with three furlongs to go, bid four-wide into the stretch, and finished best to gain the winning advantage in the final yards. FAIR TRADE hustled to an early lead, slowed down the pace, maintained a slight advantage to the far turn, then quickened late with something left in reserve, but could not hold the winner in the final yards. PEARL MAGIC veered out at the start, but was close up three-wide on the far turn, came under a stiff drive late on the far turn, and kept on well enough to hold third. MARMARA tracked in third position behind the early leaders to the far turn, then moved up to challenge midway through that turn, loomed to big threat approaching the quarter-pole, but was outfinished in the stretch. KATE WINS was outrun and far back throughout.
