Chart notes
INDEPENDENCE RISE pulled his way to the front, controlled the pace while racing mostly in the five path, proved rank up the backstretch run, was unchallenged and bounded clear under a strong hand ride. PICK IT UP prompted the early pace, was outpaced on the far turn but managed a three wide stretch bid to garner the place spot. DANEYKO settled while five wide, improved on the far turn under urging but was empty in the last sixteenth. ROBIN RACER chased the pacesetter between rivals and stayed on without threatening the principles. SPEED IT UP reserved early, was swung five wide into the stretch and did not menace. VALENTINE ROCKS raced forwardly along the inside, was urged on the far turn and offered no response. TAKE A CHANCE INDY carried out nearing the seven-eighths marker, was checked at the three-quarter pole when short of room, raced in traffic and did not factor.
