Chart notes
NOBLE SOUL dictated the pace from off the rail, was coaxed along in the two path around the turn, and drew clear while floating out to the five path down the lane. TROUBLE OR NOTHIN was prompted from up close in the two path, driven behind the winning pacesetter around the turn, could not keep up with that one while floating out to the five path down the stretch, but chased on to be second best. UNION SWAG had a slow start, tracked inside, was coaxed midway around the turn, angled out to the five path at the top of the lane, and finished on one pace for show. HOT WINGS chased in the four path, was ridden around the turn, but made no closing bid. PREDECESSOR raced off the pace in the five path, continued under pressure around the turn, got carried out to the seven path at the top of the lane, but did not threaten. THUNDER SURPRISE stalked in the three path but gave way down the stretch.
