Chart notes
PERIDOT PENDANT assumed early command under heavy pressure from PURE LURE, began to clear away from that one before meeting a bid from BRAGANZA midway through the turn, dueled that rival down the stretch and got the bob to secure the win. BRAGANZA took a slight hold shortly after the start, chased the pace up the backstretch, moved up to apply heavy pressure through the turn and dueled with PERIDOT PENDANDT in the stretch but lost the bob for a very gamely finish. PURE LURE pressed the pace setter from the inside, backed off in the turn and chased dueling leaders down the stretch. BRAQUET settled not too far off the pace, began a good rally in the stretch but got boxed late and could not pass. VIEUX CARRE trailed the pack up the backstretch, began asking at the seven sixteenths and closed some ground through the turn, shifted out to the three path in the stretch to continue rallying but could not make any improvements.
