Chart notes
LAUGH OF THE PARTY broke alertly, contested the solid pace inside to the quarter, drifted to the two path to upper stretch, dug in into the final furlong, met the late bid of LONZO WHO and determinedly held for the win. LONZO WHO hopped at the start, tracked the solid early pace from the second flight, mounted a four wide bid at the quarter marker, made a sustained run into the stretch, dueled LAUGH OF THE PARTY to the final sixteenth and just missed for the win, while holding safely for second. ROLL PENNY ROLL rated off of the early pace and saved ground into the turn, lugged out entering the bend, corrected then waited for racing room at the quarter pole, found room along the rail into the stretch, was outkicked late and held for third. PLAYING FIELD was forwardly placed early, pressed the pace three wide to the turn, battled between rivals into the stretch, lacked the needed response in the drive and yielded late. SHUG'S ROCKET broke a step slowly, tracked the early pace while widest along the backstretch, ran in pursuit five wide to the quarter pole, chased six wide to upper stretch and flattened out in the late stages. JEEPS STRIDE took back in the early going, saved ground into the turn, kept an inside path to the stretch and lacked the needed late response. BYE BYE MATTY P disputed the early pace two wide and between rivals, pressed the solid pace to the quarter pole, was turned away nearing the final furlong and gave way late. MARQUIS LIGHTS stumbled at the start and trailed to the turn, gained two wide at the quarter pole, swung to the four path into upper stretch, could not sustain his bid into the lane and weakened late.
